"It was amazing to see how just a couple of pieces of accent furniture and some throw pillows completely changed a room," Anita Melillo, 35, New Jersey explains. "I never really gave accent furniture much thought until I started watching TLC and all those design shows," Melillo continues.
As consumers started to buy accent furniture in greater quantities many vendors began to carry accent furniture. Because of the decorative nature of accent furniture, however, savvy consumers began searching online for the best selection and the best prices.
"It's so much easier shopping for these things when you are actually sitting in the room they are going in," Robyn Goldman, 36, New York explains. "You can visualize it so much easier when you have the picture on the computer in the same room as the furniture is for," Goldman continues.

Consumers point to the fact that shopping online is not only easier in terms of selection, but it is also faster and more affordable. Rather than visiting furniture store after furniture store to try to find the right accent furniture, consumers are able to shop anytime of the day or night in the comfort of their home or office. This saves countless hours of wasted time looking for the right pieces.
Savvy consumers also know that buying accent furniture and just about anything else online, are more economical than shopping in furniture stores. Furniture stores tend to be large with even larger overhead expenses to maintain them. Consumers pay for that large overhead when they buy accent furniture and anything else in the store. Because online retailers have much lower overhead, those savings can be passed along to consumers making it much more economical to shop for accent furniture and other items online. |
